Civil liability for damage to people and things

RC Snowcare insurance ensures coverage for damage caused to third parties and third party property in the event of an accident while skiing or snowboarding.

  • The civil liability guarantee for damage to persons provides for a limit of €150,000 in the event of personal injury and death.
  • The RC guarantee for damage to property provides for a ceiling of €10,000 and is activated only in the event of damage, including to people.

I had an accident on the track and damaged third party equipment - am I covered?

If you have damaged third-party equipment, you are only covered in the event of damage to people as well.


Legal protection

The Company will assume, at its own expense, within the limit of €1,000, the burden of judicial and extrajudicial expenses (expenses for the intervention of a lawyer, expert expenses, court costs in the trial and any expenses of the counterparty's lawyer.


Rescue on the Italian slopes (valid only for the Gold cover)

Rescue expenses

Within the limit of the ceiling of €200.00, the Company will bear the ordinary costs of rescue on the slopes organized by the rescue on the slopes.

Helicopter rescue costs on Italian runways

Within the limit of €1,000.00, the Company will bear the ordinary costs of helicopter rescue and rescue organized by civil, military or specialized rescue bodies (both public and private).

Rescue on foreign slopes

Toboggan rescue costs

Within the limit of the ceiling of €400.00, the Company will bear the ordinary costs of rescue on the slopes organized by the rescue on the slopes.

Rescue costs by helicopter on foreign runways

Within the limit of €5,000.00, the Company will bear the ordinary costs of rescue and rescue by helicopter organized by civil, military or specialized rescue bodies (both public and private).

Emergency medical expenses

The Company will bear the emergency medical expenses incurred in the immediate event of the accident, within the limit of €500.00.

Does the guarantee also cover additional rehabilitation and physiotherapy costs?

No, rehabilitation and physiotherapy are not included in the expenses incurred in the immediate event of the accident. The Company will bear the emergency medical expenses or all the expenses incurred in the immediate event of the accident, within the limit of €500.00, and exclusively at the affiliated healthcare facilities.


Driver available

The guarantee is activated if the insured person has reached the ski slopes with his own car and is unable to drive the vehicle and none of the passengers traveling with him is able to replace him for objective reasons. An autosite will be made available to take the vehicle and the passengers traveling with the insured person back to the city of residence according to the shortest route. The associated costs (toll, fuel, insurance, etc.) remain the responsibility of the insured. The guarantee is activated only if you have already benefited from the "emergency medical expenses" guarantee.


Skipass cancellation due to injury, illness or quarantine

If you cannot use your ski pass due to injury, illness or quarantine, we will refund it for the days in which you were unable to ski.
The ski pass cancellation guarantee not used due to injury, illness or quarantine is operative from 24.00 on the day of payment of the policy until the start of the sporting activity as from the date indicated on the ski pass. You will be able to request a refund of the unused amount.
Remember that the guarantee is valid only with named or photo ski passes.

 

Cancellation of lessons and/or rental of ski equipment due to injury

If you are unable to take advantage of the ski lessons and/or ski equipment rental due to an accident, we will reimburse you for the days in which you were unable to ski.
The ski pass cancellation guarantee not used due to injury is operative from 24.00 on the day of payment of the policy until the start of the sporting activity as from the date indicated on the ski pass. You will be able to request a refund of the unused amount.
Remember that the guarantee is valid only with named or photo ski passes and can only be activated if you have already benefited from the "emergency medical expenses" guarantee.


Guarantees available only for ski passes with name or photo

Cancellation of unused ski pass due to injury, illness or quarantine

The company will reimburse the cost of the unused ski pass pro rata temporis or in relation to the unused ski pass days. There are no ceilings, deductibles or overdrafts.

Cancellation of ski equipment rental not used due to accident

The company will reimburse any rental of ski, snowboard, cross-country ski, sled or toboggan equipment in proportion to the time and within the limit of €100.00 for each day not used. The guarantee is activated only if you have already benefited from the "emergency medical expenses" guarantee.
 

Refund of ski lessons not taken due to injury

The Company will reimburse the cost of lessons and/or rental of ski, snowboard, cross-country skiing, sled and toboggan equipment not used pro-rata temporis or in relation to the unused ski pass days. Reimbursement has a ceiling of €100.00 for each unused day. The guarantee is activated only if you have already benefited from the "emergency medical expenses" guarantee.

Medical return

If the insured person is declared fit for travel, according to the doctors' opinion, the return journey will be organized (train, ambulance, scheduled plane or private medical plane). The guarantee is activated only if you have already benefited from the "emergency medical expenses" guarantee.

All guarantees can be activated upon notification to the claims management company which can be contacted on 0220564444.

What are the main exclusions

All the guarantees are activated only in the presence of an injury or accident occurring during snow activities carried out on the skiable area and only in the presence of a document certifying that assistance was provided on the slopes. The insurance does not in any case cover accidents and injuries caused or occurring as a result of transport on the ski lifts, including the phases of embarking and disembarking from them.


Where is the Snowcare insurnance policy valid?

Snowcare is valid where the ski pass held by the insured has territorial validity on the day for which Snowcare has been purchased. If the Snowcare was purchased together with the ski pass, the territorial validity of the insurance will be the territorial validity of the ski pass of the same.
